A Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey and National Certified Counselor, Marta Mild, LPC, NCC is passionate about assisting clients, whether through life transitions and adjustments and/or personal growth and evolution. Outcomes with children, teenagers, adults, and families are accomplished by providing supportive, relatable, and strength-based approaches. Marta believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most, if not the most important component of therapy. Marta is dedicated and committed to her clients and works tirelessly to assist them in their healing and evolutionary journey. Humanistic and person-centered, Marta meets the client where they are, is sensitive to the ambivalence that often accompanies decisions for participation in psychological therapy, and encourages clients to meet their goals in an appropriate and healthy manner.

Earning her Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University, Marta’s rigorous academic and training experiences were followed up with participation in various training programs over the past eight years, including therapeutic play activities, ADHD and executive function, play therapy activities, working with individuals on the autism spectrum, and the importance of incorporating mindfulness in psychotherapy. Marta is also certified in the Nurtured Heart Approach™, a program based in improving self-regulation skills, enhancing perception of self, others, and the world around them; learning to understand that the reception of praise, energy, recognition, and reward are the result of positive behavior displays, in turn aiding in the development of a positive portfolio of the self; and teaching parents and caregivers appropriate communication to uplift and encourage their children to exhibit positive behaviors without harm to self-esteem.
